José Berrios vs The Yankees

José Berrios ($8,600) : The Bayamón, Puerto Rico-born right-hander (12-7, 3.84 ERA and 1.18 WHIP) brings an arsenal that includes a four-seam fastball and sinker (both in the mid to low 90s) along with a curve in the low 80s.
Berrios only career start against the Yankees came on July 19th — right in the middle of New York’s mid-season funk — and predictably had a great outing. He scattered 6 hits and one earned run over 6.2 innings, earning the win in the Twins 6-1 victory at Target Field.
That said, Berrios has been terrible on the road so far — he’s 4-6 in 13 starts with a 5.14 ERA, allowing 40 earned runs in 70 innings — and this will be his first career start in Yankee Stadium. Left-handed batters hit him slightly better than rightys (.245 to .227).
Here’s who we like in today’s lineup.
- Aaron Judge (5,300) : Judge has not hit home runs in back to back games since July 21 and 22 against Seattle. Something says he ends that streak tonight.
- Brett Gardner ($4,300) : Gardy is yet to plant one in the month of September and that ends tonight as well.
- Greg Bird ($3,300) : Joe Girardi knows what he’s doing putting Bird in the 9 hole — it’s where he has his best numbers. Bird is due to let one fly tonight.

CC Sabathia ($7,200) : The Big Man brings an 11-5, 3.85 ERA and 1.31 WHIP to the table tonight. While this will be CC’s first time facing the Twins in 2017, he rocks an 18-9 record with a 3.176 ERA and 1.226 WHIP in 37 career starts versus Minnesota.
Here’s who CC needs to be careful with in the Twins lineup:
- Eddie Rosario ($5,100) : Rosario is hitting .313 with 3 HRs and 13 RBI over his last 7 games.
THE FINE PRINT : The fantasy lineup suggestions are purely speculation and should not be taken as gospel. Anything can and will happen in a baseball game, but this content is designed to provide a starting point for your lineup research. Best of luck, and let’s go Yankees!
