Since the lineups for the first of a three-game set at Camden Yards haven’t changed, we’re sticking with our Yankees and Orioles fantasy picks from yesterday, and a few of today’s hot-hitting options from around MLB.
MLB Fantasy Roundup for Friday, June 1, 2018
The following suggestions are for the 4:05 EST time slot of contests, which include the Yankees-Orioles matchup. Double-check the weather conditions just prior to game time, and give this page a refresh later on as well for updated info.

Chris Sale ($11,000). If you’re a Yankee fan and draft Sale tonight, this could be a win-win. The lanky lefty is coming off a rough start where he got smacked around by the visiting Atlanta Braves, but we’re thinking he answers the bell for a showdown with the first place Houston Astros. We’re expecting a healthy DKFP number from Sale, but remember it’s Gerrit Cole on the bump for Houston, so this game may very well end up in the hands of the respective bullpens. Boston closer Craig Kimberly has proved to be human lately, so a ‘Stros walk-off isn’t out of the question.

Gleyber Torres ($4,700). [From yesterday] It’s basically ‘Torres goes in your lineup until further notice’. We’re looking for a way to have him be the default second base selection on our Draft Kings app, as well. This will be Torres’ first trip to hitter-friendly Camden Yards, so we’re expecting the usual output from the young standout.
Alternates: Jose Altuve ($4,700), who is 8-21 against Sale (.381) with a home run and 3 RBI against Chris Sale.
Shortstop
Manny Machado ($5,200). Machado is 5-18 (.278) with a double and 5 RBI against Sonny Gray, and we’re expecting him to christen the HR column on his rap sheet tonight.

Jean Segura ($4,600). [From yesterday] The other night, a Mariner’s broadcaster referred to Segura as ‘Jean, Jean, the hittin’ machine’, and he wasn’t kidding. The slugging shortstop seems back from the injuries that derailed his dependable offense output early last season. Segura is behind the M’s recent run of success and no reason for him to stop soon.

Aaron Judge ($5,700). [From yesterday] There is no team Aaron Judge enjoys facing more than the Baltimore Orioles. If Cashner’s sinker is not sinking, or his four-seamers get too much of the plate, Judge should do some serious damage with the lumber tonight.
Remember this is for speculation only, not meant to be taken as gospel. We exist under the manta that “You can’t predict baseball” but it’s fun trying. Good luck with your lineup and let’s go Yankees!
