This actually works out nicely. Maybe not so much for Yankee pitching on Saturday, but for general mental health tonight. Still licking the wounds after last night’s train wreck of a game, we needed a day to recoup and prepare for the showdown with the relentless Blue Jays.

Tonight’s game will be made up as part of double-header on Saturday. Manager Joe Girardi announced the starting rotation:

  • Friday : Luis Severino (vs David Price)
  • Saturday (Game 1) : Michael Pineda (vs Marco Estrada)
  • Saturday (Game 2) : Ivan Nova (vs Marcus Stroman)
  • Sunday: Masahiro Tanaka (vs R.A. Dickey)
