New York Yankees Gear & Memorabilia

2001 World Series Photo; Bernie, Paulie and Jeter Signed

$999.99

After dropping the first two games of the 2001 World Series to the Diamondbacks in Arizona, the eyes and hearts of a nation turned to The Bronx on October 30th, only seven weeks after the horrific terrorist attacks.

Before a packed house of 55,820, President George W. Bush tossed the ceremonial first pitch in a bulletproof vest — to deafening applause — a strike (from the rubber, no less!) to catcher Todd Greene.

Jorge Posada homered, Roger Clemens went 7 strong and Mariano Rivera closed it out with a 2 inning save, as New York took Game 3, 2-1 and set the stage for the next two victories, which both rank among the most memorable in Yankee postseason history.

This iconic photograph, taken during the pre-game introduction ceremonies, has been personally signed by Bernie Williams, Paul O'Neill, and Derek Jeter, and has been authenticated by MLB.
